Crock Pot Chicken Taco Meat

This recipe rocks for a super easy chicken taco meat that can be used in Tacos, Salads, or even by itself if desired. Feel free to add some onion to it, but I personally think it is great as is!

It’s dead simple, just add all the ingredients to a slow and mix them together, then let it cook, very simple and just three ingredients.

Ingredients

1-1.5 pounds of boneless chicken(Breasts or thighs work great)
1 packet of Taco seasoning
8 oz(1 cup) of Salsa, jar or homemade works great

Directions

  1. Place all ingredients in a slow cooker and stir to combine.
  2. Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or high for 3-4.
  3. After cooking is complete, simply stir in the slow cooker to shred the chicken, or remove them to a bowl to shred, then add back to cooker and mix.

Enjoy!! Garnish on top of tortillas with sour cream, guac, cilantro, cheese and whatever else!
